Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South, Clement Apaak has said the decision of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to start an apposition of the ‘Fixthecountry’ with ‘Fixyouself’ means they rigged the 2020 polls.

His premise is that since Ghanaians are highly disappointed in the government barely a few months after President Nana Akufo Addo began his second term in office shows Ghanaians outrightly rejected them in the build-up to the 2020 polls.

He said President Akufo-Addo is not a legitimate leader because the 2020 polls were rigged in his favour which is why he’s hugely unpopular with the populace.

”#FixTheCountry Ghanaians say. The President and his government say #Fixyourself! Why should anyone be surprised, the President knows the power he holds is illegitimate, it was procured fraudulently. Ghanaians didn’t vote for him, hence #Fixyourself!,” he said.

Meanwhile, Frankin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa has said in a new post on Facebook that the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo has enough money to fix the country.

He further added, albeit sarcastically that the 77-years old ruler has suffered ‘muscle pull’ because he was in much hurry to fix the country when he attained power. He made the comment in consonance with the agitations that have erupted amongst Ghanais underpinned in the new political movement dubbed ‘Fix the country.’

The #Fixthecountry which started massively on social media, is designed to put pressure on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) under the stewardship of Nana Akufo Addo. The campaigners want the government to bring the country back on track following the worsening economic conditions and decline in the living standards of the citizens.
