The infamous compilation of the voters’ register, which has already been riddled with so much controversies, was given another shade of ‘wahala’ after gunshots erupted at one of the centres in Accra.

News which emerged hours ago indicates that three unidentified gunmen on motorbikes fired indiscriminately from some 100 metres away from the centre, sending all those present to take cover. The nasty incident was recorded at Ecole Jean Registration centre at Kotobabi here in Accra.
It’s not clear why the men tried to disrupt the process or which political party is responsible but as you can imagine, social media users have started pointing accusing fingers at both the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress.
Meanwhile Ghanaians have unanimously asked Nana Akufo Addo and his conspirator, madam Jean Mensa- the boss of the Electoral Commission to halt the registration in the wake of the death of the former General Secretary of the NPP, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka Sir John who died of Covid-19 on Wednesday.

Their concerns border around safety measures and how the disease might spread uncontrollably when people assemble, some of whom disregard safety protocols.
