Hamza Yassin Parents: Who are Hamza Yassin’s Parents? – Hamza Ahmed Yassin is a Sudanese-born wildlife cameraman and presenter best known for his work on shows such as Countryfile and Animal Park, as well as presenting Scottish wildlife programs. He is also a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing 2022.

Yassin, who was born in Sudan, moved to the United Kingdom when he was eight years old, knowing no English. He was supported throughout the rest of his studies after being diagnosed as dyslexic as a teenager while attending Wellingborough School.

He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with Conservation from Bangor University and a Master of Science in Biological Photography and Imaging from the University of Nottingham.

When Yassin was 21, he moved to the Scottish Highlands to study the local wildlife and advance his career.

Yassin is best known for his role as Ranger Hamza in the CBeebies show Let’s Go for a Walk, for which he wrote a book.

He presented Scotland: My Life in the Wild, a one-off Channel 4 documentary about his life and the wildlife that lives on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in the English Highlands, in late 2020.

Yassin has appeared on The One Show and Countryfile as a guest presenter, and in 2021 he will join the BBC series Animal Park, which will follow the lives of keepers and animals at Longleat Safari Park. 

In the same year, he hosted Scotland: Escape to the Wilderness, a four-part Channel 4 series in which he took four celebrities (Martin Clunes, Baroness Warsi, Ben Miller, and Richard Coles) to remote locations in Scotland and introduced them to the local wildlife.

He competed in the twentieth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2022.
