Reports from Kumasi indicate that some anxious customers of gold-buying firm, Menzgold have lined-up at the Adum branch of the company even before the stipulated time for the commencement of the exercise on Monday, October 28.
Per what we gathered these aggrieved customers were carrying their documents in brown envelopes.
It may be recalled that Menzgold on Wednesday, October 24 announced that it will begin validation of customers from Monday, October 28 to Thursday, November 28 in order to achieve a “desired outcome” of settling them all.
The exercise will take place across four designated centres in the country – Greater Accra, Central, Western and Ashanti regions.
The company will receive photocopies showing gold-trading agreements, receipts as well as any valid national ID card by each customer.
