We have chanced upon a report that revealed how a police officer and a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) gang-raped a female student.
The appalling thing about the situation is that as they gang-raped the lady, they felt good to record and per what we gathered, the police officer is stationed at Bomso.
The report was made by MyJoyOnline and it was revealed in the report that the lady is a first-year student of KNUST.
The male student was identified as Joel Osei Owusu, and he is a Level 400 Business Administration student.
The guy was the one who lured the female student to his hostel and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.
It was revealed in the report that the guy later invited his friend, whom the victim highly suspected to be a policeman into the room.
The police officer was identified as General L/Cpl Frank Adu-Poku and upon his arrival in the room, he allegedly and forcibly had sex with the lady without her consent.
The incident happened on Tuesday, July 19, at about 2:30 pm and it took the victim two days to lodge a complaint with the KNUST District CID.
Investigations into the incident started and the police, with the help of the office of the Dean of Students of KNUST, arrested suspect Joel Osei-Owusu.
He confessed and mentioned the police officer as his accomplice and as we speak, they are in the custody of the police.
They were denied bail when they first appeared in court and are set to reappear in court on August 10, 2022.
