News about the building of a new parliamentary chamber has sparked much debate among Ghanaians with many claiming the move is very needless considering some of the pressing needs facing the country.
According to many, these ‘luxury’ which is being championed by these parliamentary should be condemned with the money being used for addressing pressing issues such as school under trees.
One of such Ghanaians is popular journalist, Afia Pokuaa widely known as Vim Lady.
In a recent social media post, the journalist was having difficulties comprehending what her post suggested as ‘misplace priorities’.
She wrote;
“While school children sit under trees Parliament is building A NEW chamber.
Yoo, yate wai. Democracy is expensive ampa but it is for the PEOPLE????????”
