Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the president of the Republic of Ghana, has acknowledged that despite his advanced age, he still loves to go across the nation and experience things himself rather than relying on his appointees to provide him with information about governmental policy.

The President claims that information obtained through various sources cannot be compared to what he personally witnesses while on tour.

During his working tour of the Upper West and Savanna Regions, the President spoke to the Chiefs and residents of Yepei-Kusagu.

“Every year, it is my practice to visit each of the 16 regions of our country so that I can see for myself the performance of government’s projects and initiatives of the various regions which I visit”.

“I always say that receiving reports and seeing things with your own eyes is not the same so I prefer to come out to see for myself how things are going”, the President added.

President Nana Akufo-Addo went on to say that by touring the entire nation, he has the chance to connect with Ghanaians and hear about their concerns, which helps him make decisions about how to run the country.

“And so doing, I get the opportunity to listen to the chiefs and people of the area so I can adjust government’s programs and initiative to take care of these concerns”, he noted.
