Fast-rising Ghanaian musician, Quamina MP has indicated that he abandoned his mandatory national service just to pursue his first love, music.

Every Ghanaian after his or her tertiary education is required to undergo a one-year national service which is aimed at preparing the individual for future job placement.

However, Quamina MP who was also required to undergo the mandatory service revealed in a recent interview that he just had to abandon the service.

He noted that the motivating factor was that the distance between where he lived to his workplace was very far.

He cited being broke to the extent that he couldn’t afford transport fares, as well as cater for his welfare, has his reasons behind his decision.
