Renowned Ghanaian sports personality, Asamoah Gyan has opened up about his encounter with Uruguay striker Luiz Suarez for the umpteenth time a decade and over after Ghana’s exit from the 2010 World Cup.

Speaking to an astute media personality, Kwame Sefa Kayi on the Kokrooko program on Peace FM, Asamoah Gyan revealed that he nearly gave Luis Suarez a blow on his face the last time he came face to face with him.

According to the former Black Stars Captain, whilst playing for English Premier club, Sunderland, the club played against Liverpool where Luis Suarez was playing for at the time in the EPL league.

Asamoah Gyan noted that he had a lot of resentment in him towards Suarez coupled with how Ghanaians disliked him for denying Ghana a place in the Semifinals of the World Cup as it was a history-making experience for them.

However, after a second thought, he pulled back because he recognized the fact that he would have done the same thing if he was in his shoes.
