The case involving the lady from Takoradi who allegedly fakes her kidnap, Josephine Payin Simons has made an interesting revelation.
During the recent court proceedings, she stated that the police wanted her to lie that her daughter was not pregnant and since she refused they locked her up in the cells for a day.

According to her, Josephine Simons was her biological daughter adding that indeed she was pregnant so she could not lie about it.

In her submission, she said;
“… my daughter could not speak, but only signed and she was in handcuffs at Axim and after our transfer to Effia Nkwanta Hospital, I was not allowed to stay with her.
I was asked to agree with what the medics have said that my daughter was not pregnant, but I couldn’t do that, so I was locked up for a day.”
The case has been adjourned to January 13, to allow other witnesses to be heard.
