An Accra-based broadcast journalist Caleb Kudah has narrated the torture he was submitted to after he was arrested by some armed officials from the National security on Tuesday mid-afternoon.

It would be recalled that Ghgossip.com reported that some unidentified armed officials from the National security stormed the premises of an Accra-based radio station, Citi FM, and arrested two of their staff; Caleb Kudah and another journalist called Zoe Abu Baidoo.

Reports state that the arrest of the two Citi FM journalists is related to a particular work t he journalists were involved in which is related to a video recorded during the heavy protest that has been trending in the country for some days; Fix-It demonstrations.

After Caleb Kudah and Zoe Baidoo were freed, he disclosed the encounter he went through in the hands of the National security operatives when he was arrested for taking photos and videos at a restricted security zone at the National security ministry during the weekend.

Caleb Kudah disclosed on the Point of View that he was manhandled by the operatives when he was in their custody. According to Caleb, one of the officials kicked him in the balls.

“They pushed me and I sat on the chair. They [National Security operatives] slapped me from the back. I was trying to appeal to them that they had beaten me enough, but they were just slapping me from the back. I’ll be talking to another one and someone will just come and slap me from the back.”
