Leader and founder of United Front Party (UFP), Dr. Agyenim Boateng has made a highly explosive comment which could potentially haunt him in the not too distant future.

According to him, he will commit suicide should the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) win the 2020 polls as predicted by the Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU),

“I will sit on my balls [testicles] and dies if any political party a part from UFP with as leader does not win the upcoming polls”, he vowed during a radio station in Kumasi.

The EIU in its country report on Ghana released on May 13, 2019, said it will be difficult for the opposition NDC under former President John Dramani Mahama, to portray itself as the better custodian of Ghana’s economy, especially as the country’s growth outlook looks fairly strong.

Speaking to the development, Dr. Nana Agyenim Boateng, rubbished the EIU report and said the reality on grounds rather points to a different direction. He also blasted the finance minister for doing nothing to improve the economy.

“The Finance Minister has failed in managing the economy but when it comes to financing, I think he is not doing badly at all”, the businessman cum politician observed.

According to Dr. Agyenim Boateng, taxing of so-called luxury vehicles by the Akufo-Addo led government is a clear manifestation that incompetent people are at the helms of affairs in the country currently and the earlier the competent persons are put in charge of affairs the better for the country.

“All that Ken Ofori-Atta knows is taxing …taxing, taxing. He always wants to take monies from us the businessmen without any good policy to sustain what we are doing”, Dr. Agyenim Boateng stated.

He, therefore, hinted another massive demonstration will soon hit the Akufo-Addo led government New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to protest against the luxury tax law now in operation.
