Irina Valeryevna Shaykhlislamova was born on 6 January 1986, known professionally as Irina Shayk, is a Russian model and actress who received international recognition when she appeared as the first Russian model on the cover of the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Shayk attended a music school for seven years, during which time he honed his skills as a pianist and singer. She then enrolled in a marketing degree programme, but dropped out shortly thereafter to attend beauty school alongside her older sister.
This is where a modelling agency spotted her and asked her to compete in a local beauty contest, Miss Chelyabinsk 2004, which she won.
