Talented Arsenal star, Eddie Nketiah has publicly conceded that there is a high chance that he will be playing for the Black Stars.

The attacker is one of the numerous Ghanaian players who were born abroad to full or partial Ghanaian parents. His submission comes at a time when Ghanaians have shared their thoughts on these players playing for the national team, especially at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

His submission was contained in a recent post made on the popular social media platform, Twitter by the renowned Ghanaian sports journalist, Saddick Adams.

The post reads;

“Eddie Nketiah- “I will sit down with my family & take the final decision at the end of the season. My parents are both Ghanaian. It’s a possibility. I am open to both–playing for 🇬🇭 or 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. happy they’ve qualified for World Cup. I know players like Partey so I am happy for them.”

Some reactions the post got are;

@orleansarkcess – England deɛ enfa Nana nti y ɛ wadwin yie na ball na wonnim bor papa biaa saa. Consider na yɛ consider wo😒

@GhanaianPlayers – I think Eddie Nketiah is being smart here to be honest! Every smart player will do that
At this point he cannot come out categorically to say he wants to play for Ghana cos he will be seen as an opportunist who only wants to play for 🇬🇭 bcos We’ve qualified to the World Cup
He is also playing his cards well so that if England really needs him Southgate will hurriedly give him a call up so England don’t lose him to Ghana
😂😂
But at the end of the day the possibility of Eddie Nketiah playing for Ghana is higher compared to playing for England
