Jason Whitlock career
Whitlock’s first employment was as a part-time employee of Bloomington, Indiana’s The Herald-Times. Working as a reporter for The Charlotte Observer was his first full-time position. He spent about a year there before starting to work for The Ann Arbor News in 1992, where he covered the University of Michigan for two years.
Whitlock was employed by The Kansas City Star in 1994. Whitlock received a suspension in 1998 for provoking spectators during a Kansas City Chiefs game.
On March 7, 2008, Whitlock received the National Journalism Award for commentary from the Scripps Howard Foundation. Whitlock was the first sportswriter to receive the $10,000 reward and honor. Whitlock’s departure from the Kansas City Star was announced on August 16, 2010, by that publication.
Whitlock began penning essays on Page 2 of ESPN.com in 2002. Whitlock had been a guest host on a number of ESPN TV programs, such as Pardon the Interruption and Jim Rome Is Burning.

Jason Whitlock and Clay Travis officially joined OutKick in June 2020. Whitlock joined Blaze Media in June 2021 and launched a new program titled Fearless with Jason Whitlock. Whitlock claimed that “a lot of what the left supports is Satanic” in an interview with Tucker Carlson.
Whitlock has additionally appeared in Playboy, Vibe, and The Sporting News. He penned a 5,000-word editorial for Playboy in June 2008 that questioned the country’s drug war and jail practices.
Playboy’s headline “The Black KKK” prompted Whitlock to write two pieces, one for Foxsports.com and the other in the Kansas City Star, critiquing Playboy editorial director Chris Napolitano for the provocative and deceptive headline.
Whitlock has compared Black Lives Matter to the KKK in his criticism of the movement. He’s also been called “Marxist” and a “dangerous” group by him.
Whitlock published a two-hour video in 2023 in which she questioned Michelle Obama’s gender identity. Whitlock stated in December 2023 that she did not support the 19th Amendment and that the idea of “one vote per household” was shattered by allowing women to vote. Whitlock links her statement to a period in American history when the family was given more importance.
