American comedian, writer, actor and TV personality, Jimmy Fallon was born on September 19th, 1974 in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of New York City’s Borough in the USA.

Jimmy Fallon was born to Gloria and James Fallon. Fallon criticized his parents for being overly protective while praising his early years after they moved to Saugerties, New York.

As a teenager, Fallon developed an obsession with the late-night comedy program Saturday Night Live. He watched it religiously even though he was only allowed to watch “the clean parts” that his parents had filmed for him. He and Gloria would perform comedic routines a la “The Festrunk Brothers” with pals.

When he was in his teens, his parents were intrigued by his impressions of stars Dana Carvey and James Cagney. He was passionate in music, and at the age of 13, he picked up the guitar. Then he competed in and gave performances of music and comedy.

Fallon attended the majority of the plays at Saugerties High School and twice held the position of class social director. He won a comedy contest for young people by doing a Pee-wee Herman impression.

He was a typical college student who did stand-up comedy on the weekends. He routinely rode buses to Caroline’s Comedy Club in Times Square to perform performances there from his aunt’s house in Fort Hamilton. He didn’t finish college since he dropped out a semester early to pursue a career in comedy.

Fallon is famous for his work on television, where he appeared as a cast member on Saturday Night Live and served as the host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

when Jimmy Fallon’s former talk show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, came to an end.

At the age of 21, Fallon relocated to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy. Growing up, he was into music and comedy. He finally fulfilled a lifelong dream in 1998 when he heard about a casting call for Saturday Night Live.

He worked on Saturday Night Live for six years, from 1998 to 2004, co-hosting the section known as Weekend Update, and became well-known in the process. He left the show to make appearances in films including Taxi (2004) and Fever Pitch (2005).

After a successful run in the movies, Fallon returned to television in 2009 as the presenter of NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, where he established a reputation for emphasizing music and video games.
