The prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been named ranked the 12th best University in Africa among other African universities.

The list had the University of Ghana (Legon) placing 29th and this is according to the 2022 Global Universities Rankings.

In the world, KNUST and Legon were also ranked 587th and 916th respectively. This list was made known at the eighth annual USNews and World Report Global Universities Rankings explaining the ranking, the organizers said;

“Since an increasing number of students plan to enroll in universities outside of their own country, the Best Global Universities rankings – which focus specifically on schools’ academic research and reputation overall and not on their separate undergraduate or graduate programs – can help those applicants accurately compare institutions around the world.”

In other news, President Akufo-Addo has claimed that during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, a total of 24,285 health experts were hired to help the health system.

In addition, the President claims that GH1.9 billion was spent to ensure that basic school pupils returned to class during the pandemic.

Nana Akufo-Addo told members of the Diplomatic Corps at the Peduase Lodge that the government had done all possible to save the people.
