An eight-year-old schoolgirl only identified as Shamsiya has been reported missing at Tafo Adonpom in the Tafo Municipality of the Ashanti region after a heavy downpour that started the late afternoon of Monday.
The heavy downpour flooded areas including Ohwim, Amanfrom, Anloga junction, Krofrom, Subin, Airport Roundabout, Tafo, Atafoa, and other communities according to reported monitored on Kessben FM by ghgossip.com.
Assemblyman for Tafo-Nhyiaso Electoral area Bashiru Mohammed who was also heard narrating the incident to Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo, said they suspect the 8-year-old girl may have been washed away by the flooding water.
He noted that the family of the girl made it clear to him that she was playing in the heavy rain but when it got heavy they were unable to trace her whereabouts.
