Currently, the Kumasi Sports Stadium is under renovation and one of the major areas that is being worked on is the pitch.
The renovation work is progressing steadily and we can confirm this after we saw the current state of affairs of the renovation in some photos shared on social media by popular Kumasi-based FM station, Nhyira FM.
The stadium was demolished and rebuilt in the build-up to the 2008 AFCON which was hosted in Ghana.
After the tournament, the stadium has hosted some important matches including World Cup qualifiers as well as Ghana Premier Leagues matches.
