Okay FM presenter Afia Pokua, widely known as Vim Lady has suggested the Black Stars should be disbanded and banned from participating in major tournaments in order to prepare them adequately.

She shared this sentiment after Ghana lost to Morocco in the Group C opener of the 2021 AFCON tournament that is ongoing in Cameroon.

Taking to her Facebook account, Vim Lady was of the view that if the team is prevented from participating in major tournaments for two years, it would adequately prepare them and make them prime for future tournaments where they can properly give a good account of themselves and clinch the ultimate.

She posted;

So this $25mill the minister wants us to waste on this CAF tournament, can’t we ban all tournaments for 2 years and build a proper BLACK STARS TEAM? Must we suffer BROKEN HEART every time😭🙆‍♀️ This is not Milo’s fault. The team is just WEAK.

Meanwhile, the captain of the Black Stars Dede Ayew has revealed in a different interview that she felt his teammates needed him badly which is why he forced himself to play despite not being fit.

“I have not been feeling well for the past two days, I wanted to play, my colleagues wanted me on the pitch and I did everything because I have been waiting for this for three years now, we lost and I was unlucky to add a cut on my eye to it,” Ayew disclosed.

Eventually, the former Swansea star failed to glitter and was conspicuously absent from the cagey encounter with the Morrocons which saw Sofiane Boufal pounce on a loose ball to score the only goal in the 83rd minute.

Ayew is still beaming with optimism about his team’s progression to the next stage of the competition despite the huge setback initiated by the Moroccans.

“I think we can get through and we will get through cos it is our duty and we will make sure we qualify to the next stage.

“We lost the first game in 2010, 2015 but we pulled through. We were not expecting this start but we will make it,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ghana could make amends when they face Gabon and Comoros on Januray 14 and 18 respectively.
