Veteran musician and staunch supporter of ex president John Dramani Mahama, Mzbel has taken a swipe at Pastor Mensah Otabil over his infamous ‘insult’ comments.

The founder and leader of International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) has been subjected to vile attacks from a section of the general public when during a church sermon, he openly cast a slur on those insulting him in the wake of GCB-Capital bank take over.

The famous pastor, who often uses his pulpit to talk about topical issues in the country especially at the detriment of the NDC, lost his cool during his sermon and said people who insult him looks like an insult themselves.

He said:

“Oh yes I’ve had some reality this week.”

You know when people who have no right to insult you, insult you; that is the reality.

You look at the person insulting you and the person, sometimes, himself looks like an insult. But out of the abundance of his insult, he is insulting you, so that is a reality. Reality is when it is hitting when all kinds of stuff is hitting, I don’t want to go too much into that.

But Mzbel, who herself has been harassed on numerous occasion for her political affiliation, posted a sharp response on her Facebook timeline aimed at Pastor Otabil.

She praised ex president John Dramani for enduring all the attacks that came his during his tenure of office but not retaliate, unlike the ICGC founder.

She wrote:

“Posterity will be your judge. As a party supporter, I still salute you as my political C-in-C. You are doing great on the world stage. People who were insulted by people who looked like insults, all insulted you. You bore it with equanimity.”

My boss salute!”
