The Milwaukee Bucks picked Brogdon with the 36th overall choice in the 2016 NBA Draft on June 23, 2016.
In 2016, on July 30, he joined the Bucks. On October 26, 2016, he played in his first NBA game, the Bucks’ season-opening loss to the Charlotte Hornets (107-96), earning eight points and five assists in 21 minutes.
In a 117-113 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on November 1, 2016, he finished with 14 points and four steals.
