Following the viral story of the Ghanaian lesbian who was reportedly raped for two consecutive days, a man has lost his job for joining the bandwagon of people making homophobic comments about her.

Recall a popular Ghanaian lesbian, Elladeevah Ellios revealed on Facebook a few days ago that she was abducted, drugged and raped by some yet-to-be-identified guys, a revelation which rather drew derogatory comments aimed at her instead of empathy she solicited.

From the foregoing, one man also made a reaction reflecting the same blueprint and when the company he works for came across his unfortunate comment on social media, they terminated his contract.

We gathered this information from the man’s friend, Akwesi Osei who shared the story on Facebook and was reshared by Lydia Forson.

Akwesi Osei wrote;

With issues of rape, I will always say this; if you have nothing meaningful to say, please keep quiet. Just shut up and walk away from it. Trust me, you’ll thank me later if you let this go. Whether its true or not, just don’t say anything foolish.

My friend just lost a very good paying job because he thought it was funny that a lesbian got raped. An NGO job that pays 6k a month plus incentives.

Dude called me to cry. People are always watching. Deals have been lost because someone chose to be a loud mouth. These days di33, I try and stay away from all these things oh. Me di33, I talk my own.
