Mauritanian Footb all Association president Yahya Ahmed and two other candidates has announced their withdrawal from the upcoming Confederation of African Football (CAF) presidential elections.

Yahya Ahmed, together with other two presidential candidates Jacques Bernard Daniel Anouma of Ivory Coast and Augustine Emmanuel Augustine Senghor from Senegal after several hours od deliberation in a meeting came to the conclusion of them all withdrawing the candidacy.

This leaves South African billionaire Patrice Motsepe of South Africa as the only person contesting for the presidency and all the other withdrawn contestants has pleaded their support for him.

The CAF elections is scheduled for the 12th of March, 2021 at Rabat, Morocco.
