The Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East Constituency, Mavis Hawa Koomson has been arrested by the police in the Central Region.
Her apprehension came up following a misunderstanding at a voter registration center in Kasoa which she fired a gunshot.
The minister of Special Development Initiatives revealed that she pulled the trigger because she felt threatened at the registration center.
People have condemned her act despite her justification that those thugs were linked to the opposition which she felt threatened and many have called for her resignation as a minister.
The minister is said to have been sent to the Regional Police Headquarters as she’s currently being interrogated by the CID investigators.
