SA radio and TV personality Lerato Kganyago has once again shown the generous side by distributing blankets to the less fortunate during this cold season.

Lerato Kganyango in collaboration with MR Foundation and Aranda Blankets made sure some homeless people living on the streets are well prepared to face the cold this winter by giving away blankets.

The DJ took to her Twitter account to share the video of her giveaway, and the DJ was lauded for the good work.

Meanwhile, a couple of months ago, Lerato decided to hang up her microphone and put away her DJing desk for a while.

The star announced that she needs a breather due to health reasons. She said she will no longer be hosting DJing gigs as per her doctor’s advice.

In an Instagram post, Lerato acknowledged that her decision would be disappointing to many of her supporters, but she is just following doctors orders.

“Our bodies are not as resilient as we would like to wish they are. As importantly, to let down those who support me is not a decision that I take lightly. However, I can no longer continue to ignore my doctor’s advice and have to put pause on my DJing gigs,” disappointed Lerato wrote.

Lerato also stated that she is no longer going to perform outside Johannesburg until she recuperates fully.

…especially those out of Jo’burg, for the next few weeks as I recuperate. I hope you can understand and I look forward to seeing many of you from behind the decks very soon,” she wrote as she switched off her comments.

She revealed, though, that despite all these sudden changes, she will continue to work in her new radio DJing show at Metro FM called The Midday Link Up with LKG.
