The new slogan, disability is not inability which is trumpeted to conscientize everyone to realize that there’s no limit to a person’s ability, is aptly illustrated in this report.

Here’s Raphael Botsyo, a young man who was born with no legs but managed to make a mark for himself and Ghana in adaptive sports to make Ghana proud in the US.

Despite his challenge, Raphael Botsyo still managed to be to be a shoeshine boy whilst growing up in Sunyani with a self-made wheelchair. He then moved to Accra when he got to know that there was a sport for disabled people after he discovered his passion for sports.

Few years after joining the disabled sports in Accra, Raphael defied all odds to win major laurels; he’s been a National Wheelchair Racing Champion, All African Games Champion, Commonwealth Games Champion and a multiple Olympian.

And just recently, he capped it his incredible achievement by winning the T54 World Wheelchair 100m race in Arizona, USA on Friday, 24th May 2019.
