Gays all over the world are trying to defy all odds to be assimilated in the society but often meet strong resistance from the conservative and prejudicial environment they find themselves.

It’s kind of brave on the part of these two Muslims (a religion noted for there brash intolerance to gays) to openly declare their love and subsequently get married.

The marriage took place in the United Kingdom and the couple had in attendance some family relations and close friends. The couple 24-year-old Jahed Choudhury and 19-year-old Sean Rogan tied the knot by wearing a traditional Indian Sherwanis in a civil ceremony at Walsall registry office, UK.

Metro UK reported that their path crossed when Rogan met Choudhury crying on a bench in Darlaston. The groom said: “I’d not long overdosed and I was crying on a bench and Sean came over and asked if I was okay.”

Choudhury further added that being a Muslim made him feel like a black sheep as he feels he is trapped between being gay and his faith.

However, his families were not present at the wedding but the young man believes that the wedding will help promote the gay right all around the world. He said: “My family doesn’t want to come on the day, they just don’t want to see it because it’s too embarrassing for them.”
