Popular Ghanaian marriage and relationship counselor, George Lutterodt has asserted that married men who overly are caring and generous towards their wives are thieves.
Counselor Lutterodt claims that despite the fact that men are by nature the head of the household, no man can support their wife on their monthly salary.
He claimed that because men do not provide for their spouses through their salaries, any guy who does so is a thief, which means he earns extra money through illicit ways.
Counselor Lutterodt made this controversial statement during a discussion on Rainbow FM hosted by Sokohemaa.
“as a matter of fact, wives are eating our monthly salary as their weekly chop chop, no utility bill, no water bill and for the rest of us who have become too known, and bought cars for our wives and we fuel it every day, we are thieves”, he said.
Meanwhile, seasoned radio host Sammy Adu Boakye of Kessben Media has advised young people thinking about marriage to have back up or contingency plans.
The host of Kessben FM’s Church Bells advises couples to plan their weddings with extra caution in order to avoid being caught off guard, especially at the last minute.
According to Sammy Boakye, when you’re a young man or woman getting ready to get married, you should have at least 3 options available to you in case of an emergency.
In a Facebook post he made, it reads;
As a young man or woman, once u make up your mind to marry, make sure you don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Be strategic so u are not caught….Have at least three to choose from. Very serious one, semi serious one, and a casual one. … This is hard truth no one will tell u.
