The minority in Parliament demands an investigation into the activities of the McKinsey Group in the economic management of the country.

According to minority leader Haruna Iddrisu, the government pays the management consulting firm a sum of $ 1.5 million per quarter for services provided to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

The caucus insists that the agreement is a “scam” of the state and its resources.
Speaking during a debate prior to the approval of Ken Ofori-Atta as Finance Minister, Mr. Iddrisu questioned the relevance of such an arrangement.

He argued that Ghana already had competent organizations to provide the services currently offered by the McKinsey Group.
