Who Are Mr Ibu Siblings?: Born on October 17, 1961, Mr. Ibu, officially known as John Ikechukwu Okafor is a Nigerian actor and comedian.
He developed a passion for acting at a younger age, has been consistent throughout his career, and became one of the most sought-after Nigerian actors.
Throughout his career, he has starred in over 200 Nollywood movies including; Mr. Ibu, Mr. Ibu & His Son, Coffin Producers, Husband Suppliers, International Players, Mr.Ibu in London, Police Recruit, 9 Wives, Ibu in Prison, and Keziah, among others.

Mr Ibu is not the only child of his parents. He has a younger sister identified as Queen Chioma Egboh Grace who has also played a few roles in Nollywood and is following the footsteps of her big brother. She also doubles as a blogger and a media personality.
Mr. Ibu has been in the news for the past few weeks (October 2023) after he revealed that he was suffering from an ailment that threatened to amputate one of his legs.
According to him, he was struck by the problem while on a movie set with other Nollywood acts. He appealed to his fans and the public for prayers and financial assistance to cover his medical bills.
Additionally, he also shared a video of himself lying in a hospital bed, expressing his fear of losing his leg.
In November 2023, Mr. Ibu hit major headlines after his leg was amputated amid a health battle. Details of this development were revealed in a statement by his family on his official Instagram handle.
According to the statement, the award-winning actor had to undergo 7 successful surgeries to remove one of his legs to improve his chances of recovery. The statement read;
“We want to appreciate everyone that has come through for our dad, saying we are grateful is an understatement and only the good Lord can thank you all enough for every help you’ve rendered.
“As of 1 pm, noon today, Daddy has gone through 7 successful surgeries but to keep him alive and increase his chances of recovery one of his legs had to be amputated. This development has been hard on us all but we’ve had to accept it as Daddy’s new reality to keep him alive”
The family has also appealed to Nigerians to support the actor.
“Please we are still soliciting support from well-meaning Nigerians at this stage Daddy is still one very delicate one and he needs all the help he can get”
Thank you, everyone, the Okafor family is grateful and we don’t take you for granted. In due time, Daddy will personally acknowledge everyone who supported him during this period as soon as he’s stable”
