Popular Tanzanian Bongo Flava recording artiste and songwriter, Mwasiti pairs up with Dogo Janja to unfold a groovy single dubbed; “Ameniwahi” produced by BinLaden.
The record was taken off her just released body of work captioned; “The Black Butterfly”. The extended play is a combination of different sounds in 5 different songs which also features 4 different artists.
‘The Black Butterfly’ happens to be her debut extended play, the collective adds up to her belt with the previous 2 albums namely; ‘Nambie’ and ‘Complete Woman’.
Mwasiti, real name Mwasiti Almasi Yusuph represented Tanzanian in Addis Ababa at the African Development Forum organized by UNICEF in 2006.
Mwasiti aka Black Butter is well known for her song, “Nalivua Pendo,” which was number one on Tanzania radio charts for eight consecutive weeks. The song again won “Best Zouk Song” at Tanzania Music Awards in 2009.
