The deputy captain of the Black Stars, Thomas Partey has revealed that he has picked a Muslim name.
According to him, he picked the name after converting to Islam following his recent marriage to Moroccan Sara Bella.
He indicated that his Muslim name is Yakubu and he made this known while having a friendly conversation with his friend, Nana Aba Anamoah.
In his submission, he said;
“I have a girl I love, I know my side chicks will leave me but it’s no problem. I grew up with Muslims so at the end of the day it’s the same thing. I’m already married and my Muslim name is Yakubu.”
In other news, Thomas Teye Partey has heaped massive praises on Black Stars coach, Otto Addo. He was full of praise for the coach during his recent interaction with Nana Aba Anamoah.
In their interaction, he revisited Ghana’s match with Nigeria where Ghana came out as the better side to qualify for the World Cup ahead of Nigeria.
Before the match, Nigerians bragged about beating Ghana ‘wotowoto’ due to the fact that they have some of the best and most prolific strikers on the African continent.
However, their strikers failed to do justice when it needed most as they could not make it to the World Cup. In Partey’s submission, he indicated that Nigerians were bragging but they did not know that Coach Otto Addo had a mastermind to execute his plans.
