Jacob Teye, the father of Thomas Partey has spoken out about the capabilities he sees in his son to take hold of the captaincy of the Black Stars.

He noted that the captaincy is always given to the experienced players of the team but has high hopes that his son would soon become a captain.

In an interview with Cape Coast radio station, Live 107.5 FM. He said “I was very happy when my son got the first national team call up, I will support my son to become the national team captain if the chance comes, sometimes captaincy is about seniority. My son is having the qualities a captain should have.”

“Sometimes in football you will have your day and sometimes too you will be flop in a game so when it comes to that I always tell him to be cool.” he added.

He touched on the youth and how they should portray themselves in order to be successful.

“My advice to the youth is anybody who wish to be a footballer should train very hard but if you like ladies please you should be a tailor and stop any sports activity.”
