The president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has congratulated Ghana’s U-20 soccer team, Black Satellites.

This comes after the team excellently won the just ended African youth championship held in Mauritania.

The final was played on March 6 and it was between Ghana and Uganda. At the end of the match, Ghana has put two goals past their Ugandan counterparts.

Reacting to the win, the president took to his verified social media handle on Facebook and congratulated them adding that he can’t wait to receive them when they come back.

The post he made reads;

“Congratulations to the Black Satellites for winning Ghana’s 4th AFCON U-20 trophy. Thoroughly deserved victory, and they’ve made Mother Ghana proud. What a way to celebrate our 64th Independence Anniversary!! Kudos to the team, and I look forward to receiving the playing, technical and management teams to Jubilee House.”
