The Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu has confirmed the 120 Ghanaian nurses chosen to serve in Barbados for two years.

They are to serve under two years contractual agreement which 120 were qualified out of 600 applicants who expressed interest.

Some officials from Barbados and the the Ministry conducted the series of interview for 150 shortlisted applicants before attaining the number of choice.

They have agreed for the programme to serve at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados.

Upon their arrival, the minister of health, Lt Col Jeffrey Bostic in Barbados stated that it’s momentous occasion in several ways as he expressed his pleasure.

This programme came up following President Nana Akufo-Addo visit to the Caribbean Island for bilateral talk with the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley.

They expressed the need Ghana nurses to solve it’s shortage of professional nurses in the hospital in the country.
