The president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo has been named one of the highest-paid presidents in Africa.

When the salaries of Africans were considered, the president of Ghana is the 13th highest-paid African president.

The list was compiled by Business Insider and it was indicated that Nana Addo takes an annual salary of US$76,000 which is equivalent to about US$6,300 per month.

Using the current rate, it means the president takes home not less than GHC 54966.90 and this has been something most Ghanaians have shared their thoughts about because most people think it is very high considering the hardship in the country.
