Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa, Director General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), has been relieved of his duties by the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
This was stated in a letter written to him on behalf of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo by the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante.
The letter, dated Monday, October 17, 2022, stated that the Ministry of Education had informed the President’s Office that the exigencies that required Prof Opoku-Amankwa’s expertise no longer existed.
