“The leadership of the ruling party must be meting out severe sanctions to its national executives, MPs and parliamentary candidates who are engaged in the most reprehensible and reckless conduct of invading senior high schools to campaign at a time parents cannot visit their children in school. That is, if the NPP leadership does not endorse the deplorable actions of their members and if those actions do not fit into a certain ignoble strategy.

Heads of schools should muster the courage to stand up to such unscrupulous and disgraceful politicians by preventing them from entering their premises. Heads of schools and staff of the Ghana Education Service should not be oblivious of the legal consequences should parents decide to sue.

It is utterly despicable observing what our Senior High Schools are being subjected to in the blinded pursuit of political power and against all good counsel from the experts.

Can we begin to value lives a little more and can we begin to see the kind of political conduct that restores respect and dignity to the political office.”
