The Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and the entire party have stated clearly that they will never recognize Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo as the President of Ghana.

In Press Conference with the media, General Mosquito stated that Nana Akufo Addo will not be recognized as a legitimately elected President until all issues about the 2020 General Election have been resolved to their satisfaction.
We shall not recognize Akufo-Addo as a legitimately elected president of Ghana until all issues surrounding his election are satisfactorily resolved,”
As a reminder, the National Democratic Congress has refused to accept the verdict of the Electoral Commission over the election result that was declared on 9th December 2020.
Some of its members have taken to the street to protest against what they will describe as a “rigged election” while its leaders resolve it at the Supreme Court.
However, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo Addo was sworn-in as President of the Republic of Ghana on 7th January 2021.
