Last month, Zuberi who is a resident of Oregon, committed a horrifying act by abducting a woman in Seattle while impersonating an undercover police officer. After the abduction, he took the victim to his residence, where he subjected her to sexual assault before placing her in a makeshift cage, as reported by the FBI.

Thankfully, the brave woman managed to escape from Zuberi’s homemade cinder block dungeon and sought help, leading to the apprehension of Negasi Zuberi, who is also known by aliases such as Sakima, Justin Hyche, and Justin Kouassi. The FBI’s Portland Field Office had been on the lookout for him, as he is linked to violent assaults in at least four different states and has resided in at least ten states since 2016.

The investigation has raised concerns about the possibility of additional victims, as investigators suspect that there may be several others who have suffered at t he hands of Zuberi. Court documents filed on August 2, 2023, reveal that he was indicted by a grand jury in Oregon on charges of kidnapping and transportation with intent to engage in sexual activity.

An FBI news release indicated that on July 15, the accused traveled from his home in Klamath Falls to Seattle, and during this period, he posed as an undercover police officer to solicit the services of a prostitute. Using a Taser, he restrained the victim with handcuffs and leg irons, forcing her into the back seat of his car before embarking on a more than 450-mile journey back to his residence.

During the harrowing drive, the woman noticed Zuberi’s cellphone map application, which indicated that they were still hours away from their supposed destination. This further highlights the danger she faced and the traumatic experience she endured during this appalling ordeal.
