Netizens have reacted after seeing some rare photos of the time that the Adomi Bridge was being constructed.

The photos were shared on the popular social media platform, Twitter and it has some unseen photos. Check out the photos below;

The Adomi Bridge was originally called the Volta Bridge and it is a latticed steel arch suspension bridge crossing the Volta River at Atimpoku in Ghana in West Africa.

It is the first permanent bridge to span the Volta River, which drains south into the Gulf of Guinea and is Ghana’s longest suspension bridge.

It provides the main road passage, just south of the Akosombo Dam, between the Eastern Region and the Volta Region of Ghana.

It was opened in 1957 by Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first president. The iconic crescent-shaped arch bridge is featured in Ghanaian stamps and currency.

Some reactions the photos got are;

@sarkodiefellix – Good work done but I’m confused here. Was the metal constructed before the road on top of the river or what? Because the picture shows the erection of metal barricade but don’t see the road meaning the road was later constructed right?

@FrancisDeh – Quite recently I passed through and it was breeze I just had to capture the view. I guess it’s one thing we have maintained quite well as a nation. It was touched on a few years back and we had to use the ferries.
