Benjamin Essuman who is a member of the Communication Team of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) has opined against the government’s intention to make Hon. Hawa Koomson the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture.

According to him, Hawa Koomson’s response to questions during the vetting was unintelligent and no serious country will allow her to be made a Minister in Ghana.
No serious country will allow her [ Hawa Koomson] to become a minister. Her response to the questions was unintelligent”,
he said.
He also alleged that he knows some NPP members are scheming to turn things around in favor of Hawa Koomson but they will fail in their attempt.
No matter how NPP members and apologists try to spin Hawa Koomson’s vetting, it will not fly”, he established.
However, the member of Parliament representing the Awutu Senya East, Hon. Hawa Koomson has apologized for the Kasoa shooting incident during the 2020 voters registration exercise.
