The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana, Professor Ebenezer Oduro Owusu addressing to the report of a student of the University of Ghana testing positive for the deadly Coronavirus stated that it is true.
According to him, the student is a non-residential student who recently came back from the United Kingdom.
He used the opportunity to call for calm as he stated that the university is very safe and there shouldn’t be any need for panic.
However, he asked all non-residential students to stay away from campus until further notice as the university puts in an effort to prevent the outbreak of the disease.
Ghana has so far confirmed six new cases of Coronavirus after investigating close to 100 suspected cases.
