Prempeh College has finally won this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) and is walking away with the grand prize.

The scores at the end of the fifth round are 53, 46, and 37; with Prempeh College leading with 53 points, Legon Presec also coming up with 46, and Keta Senior Technical school with 37 scores.

The National Science and Maths Quiz which is sponsored by the Ghana Education Service (GES) comes with prize packages including; GH₵80,000 total going to the first place school. GH₵40,000 to the school, GH₵20,000 to the students, and GH₵20,000 to the teachers.

The first runner-up is set to take home “GHS30,000 to the school, GHS17,000 to the team of students, and GH₵17,000 to the teachers, making it GH₵64,000 in total. The school that would place third is to receive, GH₵50,000. GH₵20,000 to the school, GH₵15,000 to the students, and GH₵15,000 to the teachers.

Prempeh College has been named the winner for this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz. Prempeh College has won four times in the National Science and Maths quiz. They won in 1994, 1996, 2015, and 2017. They have won this year’s NSMQ making it their fifth win.
