Accra Academy are through to the semi-finals of the Ghana National Science and Maths Quiz at the expense of the defending champions St Augustine’s College.

In a fiercely contested clash, the capital-based school won after answering the last riddle of the final round. Before answering the question, Accra Academy and St Augustine’s were level on points – 50.

Their correct answer took them their points tally to 53, thus winning the contest and ending St Augustine’s hopes of winning the trophy back to back. That record is held by Presec Legon.

The contest also had Kumasi Secondary Technical School. They finished third with 38 points.
