Offset was then charged with violence and instigating a riot within a prison facility while still in custody, following an incident in which he struck another inmate.
He was released in December 2015 after spending eight months in custody and accepting an Alford plea deal in which the gun, drug, and gang-related charges against him were dropped in return for his plea to inciting a riot, paying a $1,000 fine, and serving five years of probation. In 2021, he was sued by Platinum Transportation Group, a car rental firm in Los Angeles, for allegedly hiring a Bentley Bentayga, repeatedly pushing back the return date, and then saying the car was gone and he had no idea where it went.
