Offset has a net worth of $28 million as an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Offset is best known as a member of the hip-hop band Migos, which also includes rappers Quavo and the late Takeoff. He has four studio albums with Migos: “Yung Rich Nation” (2015), “Culture” (2017), “Culture II” (2018), and “Culture III” (2021).

Migos was one of the highest-paid music groups in the world at its peak, collecting $25 million in combined earnings between 2017 and 2018. Takeoff, a member of the Migos, was tragically assassinated in November 2022.

What are some of the legal issues Offset faced?

Offset has a history of run-ins with the law, having received felony convictions for burglary and stealing. In 2013, he was jailed in Georgia’s DeKalb County Jail for violating his probation for the aforementioned charges. Then, in 2015, Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff were detained at a Migos concert at Georgia Southern University.

He was charged with undisclosed Schedule II narcotic possession, marijuana possession, handgun possession in a school safety zone, and firearm possession during the commission of a crime. Offset was then charged with violence and instigating a riot within a prison facility while still in custody, following an incident in which he struck another inmate.

He was released in December 2015 after spending eight months in custody and accepting an Alford plea deal in which the gun, drug, and gang-related charges against him were dropped in return for his plea to inciting a riot, paying a $1,000 fine, and serving five years of probation. Another condition of his plea bargain was that he agreed to be barred from Bulloch, Effingham, Jenkins, and Screven counties in Georgia.

Offset was charged with criminal possession of three weapons and cocaine in April 2019 following a previous arrest in July 2018. He was arrested by the Beverly Hills Police Department in October 2020 for carrying a concealed handgun near a Donald Trump rally. He was released not long after. In 2021, he was sued by Platinum Transportation Group, a car rental firm in Los Angeles, for allegedly hiring a Bentley Bentayga, repeatedly pushing back the return date, and then saying the car was gone and he had no idea where it went.
