Olamide Gbenga Adedeji is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record executive who was born on March 15, 1989. He is one of Africa’s most prominent performers, he has helped begin the careers of countless Afrobeats musicians.

He makes recordings in Yoruba and English. While contracted to Coded Tunes, he released his debut studio album Rapsodi in 2011. His follow-up album, YBNL, was published under his label imprint “Yahoo Boy No Laptop,” also known as YBNL Nation. Singles from the album included “First of All,” “Voice of the Street,” “Stupid Love,” and “Ilefo Illuminati.” He released his third studio album, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, on November 7, 2013.

Olamide Gbenga Adedeji was born on March 15, 1989, in Bariga, Lagos State. He is the second of Pa Adedeji’s three children with his second wife, Ronke Osisanya Adedeji. Olamide’s two siblings are TemmyGold and Eniola Olamilekan (commonly known as DJ Enimoney).

Olamide launched his career with the release of his debut single, “Eni Duro,” in 2010. He also performed at The Hip Hop World Awards that year. He attended Tai Solarin University but quit owing to financial difficulties.

Adedeji is the husband of Adebukunmi Aisha Suleiman. Batifeori Maximilliano Adedeji and Tunrepin Myles Adedeji are their two sons. Olamide allegedly had a love child with Maria Okanrende, who worked at The Beat 99.9 FM at the time.
