Philip Rivers is an American football quarterback who plays for the National Football League’s Los Angeles Chargers (NFL).

Rivers earned his first NFL start against the Oakland Raiders on September 11, 2006. Despite only throwing 11 times, he completed 8 passes, one for a touchdown, in a 27–0 victory against the Raiders. 

Rivers just passed Fouts to become the Chargers’ all-time passing yards leader on October 13, 2016.

In addition, he threw a career-high and league-leading 21 interceptions while completing just 60.4 per cent of his throws. In addition, he concluded the 2017 season with 434 passing yards and three touchdowns as the Chargers triumphed 28-6 on Thanksgiving Day, during Week 12. In 2013, Rivers was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
