The WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston has finally arrived at the Kotoka International Airport this morning and was met by some committee members of the Year of Return committee.

Kofi Kingston is in the country to embark on a four-day visit from today, Thursday, 30th May 2019 to Sunday, 2nd June 2019.

Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah (born August 14, 1981) is a Ghanaian-American professional wrestler signed to WWE, under the ring name Kofi Kingston

, where he performs on the SmackDown brand, and is the current WWE Champion in his first reign.

Over 11 years after making his debut in WWE, Kofi Kingston is now a world champion. In beating Daniel Bryan on Sunday-April 7 at WrestleMania 35, Kingston not only reached a career milestone but made WWE history as well.

The WWE championship, which the company debuted in 1963, had been around the waist of 50 different men in its history. Kingston on Sunday became just the second African American (following Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and first native African to hold WWE’s signature title.

While in Ghana, Kofi Kingston will pay a courtesy call on the President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Presidency. He will also be at the Manhyia Palace to pay homage to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

He will also be Children’s Rally, a visit to Tourist Sites and places like the Lake Bosomtwe, the Christianborg Castle, Bonwire and Ntonso, a visit to the Mother and Baby Unit at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and He will also visit Ejisu and Atwiwma Techiman which are his parental and maternal hometowns respectively.
